For the 17th time, the EHI Retail Institute is honouring outstanding projects in the technology sector. The international jury of representatives from industry, universities and research institutes selects winners from all the entries in five categories: Best AI & Robotics Application, Best Customer Experience, Best Instore Solution, Best Enterprise Solution and Best Connected Retail Solution. When evaluating them, the jury pays particular attention to the strategic and financial benefits as well as the degree of innovation.
Markus Tkotz (Managing Director Markant AG), Mark Michaelis (Managing Director Markant Services International GmbH), Felix Wiedmann (DevOps Engineer MSI), Florian Schader (Project Manager Platform) as well as Thomas Gasber and Steffen Trenkle (adesso) travelled together to Düsseldorf for the award ceremony and accepted the award for the B2B platform.
The B2B platform serves as a central point of contact for pooling and managing the daily challenges of upstream suppliers, industry, service providers and retailers along the entire value chain. The platform is open to industry, retail and service providers and offers a uniform user interface that promotes efficiency, digitalisation and bundling effects.
Mark Michaelis draws a positive conclusion, "Considering the short duration of the project, during which we were honestly not always sure whether we would be able to keep to the timeline, the award was a great way to conclude this challenging project phase. This is an award for everybody who has been involved in the project, who has helped and believed in the goal. In this respect, this award belongs to every single member of this cross-company project team – including our colleagues from adesso and Roland Berger! The award is by no means the end of the road. Over the next few months, sales and marketing will be strengthened in order to generate more traffic on the platform. On the one hand, the media presence and attention has increased as a result of the win. We can draw a positive balance for our image and future viability from this," says Mark Michaelis.
