The Markant Group is currently building a PV system at its Offenburg site, which will cover a total of almost 200 parking spaces over an area of 3,250 square metres.

The first part of the system, which will be built in two phases, is due to be completed and put into operation in January 2025. A total of around 500,000 kWh of sustainable energy will be generated each year.

The total investment of around 1.6 million euros will see around 1,200 translucent PV modules installed, enabling Markant Offenburg to utilise its own sustainable energy. In addition, 20 further charging points for electric vehicles will be set up and made available to employees free of charge.

Martin Sutter, Commercial Director at Markant Services International GmbH, on the construction of the facility: "We are proud that we can make a measurable contribution to sustainability and at the same time provide our employees with a covered car park and additional free e-charging points."
