Iberiana Frucht stands firmly by Valencia's side

The flood disaster in Valencia has also deeply shaken the Markant Group. Through the headquarters of Iberiana Frucht S.A., a subsidiary of Markant AG, in Valencia, the corporate group is closely linked to the region. For this reason, Iberiana Frucht has decided to help the people affected by the devastating floods directly on the ground and send a donation of goods worth 100,000 euros to the victims.

Since the beginning of the disaster, Iberiana has been in constant contact with the Valencia City Council and various regional organisations. This makes it possible to quickly identify the most urgent needs and take targeted action. The first phase was to ensure that the donated goods reached the areas most in need. Such goods include drinks such as water and milk, tinned food and baby food, as well as cleaning products and gloves.

On Friday, 15 November, Iberiana was able to successfully deliver the relief supplies to the Feria Valencia exhibition centre, which is used for donation purposes. Unfortunately, there were severe weather warnings in Valencia again in the run-up to the event, which is why the government had temporarily closed the exhibition centre as a precautionary measure and the goods could only be delivered now.

Reconstruction is a lengthy process. Iberiana's support therefore does not end with the first relief operation. In constant dialogue with the responsible authorities, the aid will be adapted to the changing needs in the various phases of reconstruction. Solidarity and mutual support are essential in times of crisis.

Iberiana Frucht reaffirms its commitment to the Valencian community and is working tirelessly to contribute to a rapid and sustainable recovery of the population.
